Saif bin Zayed attends signing of MoU

ABU DHABI: H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior today attended the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the General Command of the Armed Forces and the Office of the Minister of Interior on cooperation in creating awareness among students on the importance of national service and reserve law.

Major-General Pilot Ahmad bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National and Reserve Service on behalf of General Command of the Armed Forces and Ahmed Mohammed Al Marar on behalf of the Office of the Minister of Interior signed the MoU at the headquarters of the General Command of the Armed Forces.

The MoU aims to create partnership and understanding between the two sides to achieve maximum benefit of their available resources through cooperation in implementing and activating Khalifa Programme to empower students in order to achieve the objectives of the project of national service and reserve, as well as take advantage from the programme to spread awareness regarding the importance of the national service.

Sheikh Saif affirmed the importance of inter-institutional relations for the service of the country and its people, referring to national service and reserve law, and Khalifa Programme to empower students targeting one national goal in different ways.

The signing of the agreement was attended by a number of senior officers.
