Saif bin Zayed reviews two search and rescue manuals

ABU DHABI: H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, today issued directives for the distribution of two significant international manuals on search and rescue to public safety authorities, locally and regionally.

The books, which have been translated to Arabic for the first time, feature some of the best international search and rescue experiences and will be used to educate those in the field on how to respond to disasters and their aftermath.

Lt. Colonel Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Ansari, Head of the U.A.E. Search and Rescue Team, said that under directives from H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif, copies of the translated books have been sent to concerned bodies around the region, which he said reiterates the U.A.E. leadership s commitment for the need of continued cooperation in the field of public safety.

The meeting was attended by Major-General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director-General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director-General of Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police, and other official representatives.
