Today, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, they continue to build on these policies, making more qualitative achievements that have earned us an outstanding status in the Arab, regional and international landscapes, thanks to the UAE’s unwavering and clear positions on international events and situations, all the while putting in mind that the interests of peoples are the most important.” Sheikh Abdullah added, “We have the experiences, relations and positions of the historic and current leaders to guide us in our engagement withy global events so as to be, as always, proactive and effective actors, especially when it comes to cooperation and coordination.”

This, Sheikh Abdullah said, “is most manifested by the level and extent of our strong and unique relationship with our brothers in Saudi Arabia under the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.” Concluding his article, Sheikh Abdullah thanked the Saudi newspaper Al Riyadh for issuing a special supplement to mark the UAE’s 43rd National Day, which he described as “an occasion that is cherished by us and our brothers in Saudi Arabia whom we fully respect, due to the special relationship between our two countries and peoples who are keenly interested in making it a creative example that reflects the spirit of cohesion and solidarity.” WAM/MMYS
