Sheikh Abdullah’s inspiring act of kindness

ABU DHABI: Small acts of kindness are like drops of water they can make waves in an entire ocean, opined a U.A.E. daily.

Commenting on the recent visit of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, U.A.E. Foreign Minister to the oncology department at the Tawam Hospital, the ” The National” wrote in its editorial that Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed s gesture of having his head shaved while at an Al Ain hospital tugged at the heart strings of many people and, in the process, sent out an important message of solidarity to those battling with life-threatening diseases.

“Sheikh Abdullah s actions inspired many people in the U.A.E., who took to social media to express their admiration. Photos of him kissing children s foreheads, holding their hands and patting their shoulders begun circulating on Instagram and Twitter shortly afterwards.

Most importantly, he has helped raise awareness of the vital work that is carried out by all those involved in the fight against cancer in this country,” the paper concluded.
