Sheikha Fatima attends graduation ceremony at Khawla bint Al Azwar Military School

ABU DHABI: H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU) Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and Head of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, on Saturday attended the graduation ceremony of the first batch of female recruits who completed training for national service at the Khawla bint Al Azwar Military School.

Also in attendance were Sheikha Al Yaziya bint Saif bint Mohammed Al Nahyan, wife of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Sheikha Sheikha bint Surour, wife of Pilot Staff-Brigadier Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National and Reserve Service Authority, Dr. Maytha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State, and Nora Al Suwaidi, Director of the General Women Union.

Following a parade, the female graduates greeted Sheikha Fatima and vowed to always stay loyal to the UAE, President and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and to obey and carry out the orders of their commanders and defend the flag, independence and territorial integrity of the UAE on land, sea and air, and to make sacrifices for the sake of God and their nation.

In her speech during the ceremony, Commander of Khawla bint Al Azwar Military School, Staff Lieutenant Colonel Afra Al Falasi, greeted Sheikha Fatima and thanked her for gracing the occasion. She also greeted President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers the Emirates, and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Al Falasi also urged the female graduates to commit themselves to the most honoured profession that they have chosen to pursue to defend their nation.
