Sultan Bin Zayed Culture And Media Centre to participate in Earth Hour next Saturday

ABU DHABI: The Bin Zayed Culture And Media Centre has said it will participate in the celebrations for Earth Hour this coming Saturday, which aims to raise awareness of global warming and the importance of protecting the environment and saving energy consumption. Lighting will be extinguished in the headquarters of the centre in Abu Dhabi to save electricity during Earth Hour from 8:30 to 9:30 in the evening.

Ahmed Saeed Al Rumaithi, Director-General of the Sultan Bin Zayed Culture and Media Centre, said that this participation comes within the framework of the directives of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President’s Representative, President of the Centre, to highlight the importance of contributing in all that serves humans and the homeland, and his eagerness to support initiatives that enhance teamwork and the use of natural resources in a proper and informed way.

Al Rumaithi said that the centre, by participating in the Earth Hour celebrations, intends to raise awareness among all segments of society of the importance of conservation and preservation of the environment.
