Sultan bin Zayed receives US Ambassador

ABU DHABI, 7th February 2015 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President’s Representative and Chairman of Emirates Heritage Club, has received U.S. Ambassador to the UAE, Barbara A. Leaf, at his palace in Nahil area, Suweihan City, on the fringe of the ninth edition of Sultan bin Zayed Heritage Festival.

Ambassador Leaf, who attended the honouring ceremony of winners of the camel beauty competition at the festival, emphasised that the UAE’s interest in its national heritage is exemplary and constitutes a pioneer experience in preserving national heritage, a part of the world heritage.

She also praised H.H. Sheikh Sultan for his efforts to preserve national heritage through the annual festival that, she noted, is one of the tourist attractions.

Ambassador Leaf visited the venue of the festival with her family members and a number of diplomats from U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
