Three police personnel injured in terrorist attack in Bahrain

MANAMA, 7th February, 2015 (WAM)–Three on-duty policemen were injured on Saturday while securing roads in the Mukharqa area in the capital Manama, the General Director of Capital Governorate Police said.

According to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the policemen were extinguishing tyres set ablaze on Isa Al Kabeer Road when they were attacked by a terrorist group who hurled Molotov cocktails at them.

The Director-General said, “The three policemen were referred to the hospital for treatment, and one of them is in serious condition.” He added that an investigation had been launched to identify and arrest those involved, noting that the Public Prosecution had been notified.
