U.A.E. participates in Arab League WMD committee meeting in Cairo

CAIRO: U.A.E. is taking part in the 26th meeting of the senior Arab officials committee on nuclear and other weapons of mass destructions (WMD), which started under the chairmanship of Morocco at the headquarters of League of Arab States today in Cairo.

U.A.E. is represented to the meeting by Mohammed Ali Al Shamsi, Deputy Director of the Department of International Security Cooperation at Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The two-day meeting will be discussing a number of topics and issues relating to nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction.

Participants will also assess the outcome of international conferences on WMD issues including the creation of a WMD-Free Zone in the Middle East.
