U.A.E. Red Crescent distributes clothes to Montenegro children

PODGORICA: Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has distributed more clothes to children of underprivileged families in Bijelo Polje, north-east Montenegro, in cooperation with U.A.E. Embassy in Podgorica, as part of a U.A.E. initiative to help children around the world.

“All the towns and villages of Montenegro will receive ERC-donated children’s clothes in the next few days as part of ERC’s effort which is in implementation of the Clothe One Million Children campaign launched last year by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,” said Ghazi Abdullah Al Mahri, U.A.E. Minister Plenipotentiary and Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy in Montenegro.

Mr. Al Mahri said more than 10,000 Montenegro children have benefited so far from the clothing initiative launched for the first time in the Balkan country.

ERC is coordinating its ongoing operation with the Red Cross of Montenegro (RCM), noted the U.A.E. envoy.
