U.S. Secretary of State begins visit to Cairo

CAIRO: U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, today began an official visit to Egypt where he will meet newly elected President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

The Middle East News Agency, MENA, stated that Kerry was looking to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and a number of issues related to the Middle East.

Cairo is the first stop in a tour by the U.S. Secretary of State to the Middle East and Europe to discuss developments in the security situation in the region.
