UAE Embassy in Nouakchott marks UAE’s 43rd National Day

NOUAKCHOTT: The UAE Ambassador to Mauritania, Eisa Abdullah Al Kalbani, has hosted a reception at Mauricentre Hotel to mark the UAE’s 43rd National Day.

The reception was attended by Mauritanian Minister Delegate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, officials, politicians, representatives of international and regional organisations, VIPs, business leaders, religious scholars, representatives of the local media, members of the diplomatic missions, Shanghai community leaders, heads of offices of companies.

In his speech at the event, the UAE ambassador highlighted the achievements the UAE has made in all spheres, its strong regional and international stature and presence in political, diplomatic, economic and humanitarian spheres, as well as its success in building bridges, close cooperation and partnerships in all spheres with the world’s countries.

Ambassador Al Kalbani further noted that the relations between the UAE and Mauritanian represent a good example of fraternal relations that are based on mutual respect and cooperation between two peoples belonging to the same nation.

He further noted that the UAE companies, charities and generous funding have contributed to the implementation of tens of projects in several sectors in Mauritania. Al Kalbani seized the occasion to greet President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Mauritanian President, Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz.

Traditional songs lauding the UAE leaders’ wisdom, patience and foresight, and documentaries highlighting the UAE’s progress, urban achievements and development in the UAE were played at the event.
