UAE Embassy in Pakistan marks UAE’s 43rd National Day anniversary

ISLAMABAD: UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Isa Abdullah Al Basha Al Nuaimi, has hosted a ceremony at the Embassy’s headquarters on the occasion of the celebration of the UAE’s National Day anniversary.

Staff members of the Embassy, along with Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar; Minister for Commerce, Khurram Dastgir Khan; and a number of top officials, military commanders, and MPs were present.

Also in attendance were a number of Arab and foreign ambassadors accredited to Pakistan, businesspersons, representatives of Emirati investment companies, journalists, and members of the public.

In his remarks at the ceremony, Al Nuaimi said, “On the 43rd anniversary of the establishment of the Union, we not only feel pride but also boast of the huge achievements of the country over four decades, thanks to the wise leadership and the Emiratis.” He added, “What has been achieved is a miracle in the history of humankind.” He noted, “Thanks to the far-sighted vision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; the Supreme Council Members; Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates; and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the UAE has attained amazing achievements such as the launch of the UAE space programme and ranked in 12th place in the Global Competitiveness Report 2014.” The ambassador also highlighted the strong relations between the UAE, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Pakistan, led by President Memnon Hussein and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
