ABU DHABI, 1st November, 2015 (WAM) — The UAE has led the governments’ group of professionals during the 78th International Labour Organisation International Training Centre Board Meeting, which was held recently in Turin, Italy.
Abdul Rahman Marzouki, Director of the International Relations Department at the Ministry of Labour, said, “The UAE has pushed the Arabic identity within the Centre’s activities following proper coordination and cooperation with the concerned parties, especially the ministries of labour, as the UAE excelled in adapting the Arabic language at special training programmes at the centre.”
He explained that this success follows the directives of Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour, who is keen on shaping the ministry as UAE’s representative at the meeting through its current vice-presidential position on the Governments Group, which runs until 2017.
The session discussed strategic plan proposals of the International Centre for Training during 2015 and 2016 in line and the Strategic Plan of the International Labour Organisation during the same period, in addition to strategic partnerships between the centre and the organisation.
During the meeting, expenditure for the 2016 – 2017 budget proposals have been submitted, which highlighted high interest in ‘Innovation Funds’ to develop attractive and innovative training courses and highly beneficial services.
