UAE offers condolences for lives lost to terrorism in Libya

CAIRO, 18th February, 2015 (WAM) — Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and Chairman of the Coordination Office of UAE-funded Development Projects in Egypt, paid a visit to Saint Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral, Cairo, to offer condolences to His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, the Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Episcopate, on the death of many victims of terrorism in Libya.

Affirming UAE’s continuous and supportive stance towards the Egyptian people, he wished solace and patience to the bereaved families.

Al Jaber affirmed the directives of the UAE leadership to provide all required facilitations to support Egypt.

During the meeting, Pope Tawadros II said, “What happened is not humane and not acceptable to any religion. Our sons are martyrs who died while adhering to values and principles and we are grateful to the UAE’s people and Sheikhs.”
