UAEand#039s Khalifa Foundation distributes more relief aid to Afghan quake victims

ABU DHABI, 30th November 2015 (WAM) — The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in Kabul, continues to distribute relief to people affected by the recent earthquake which hit Badakhshan and Takhar provinces in the northeast of Afghanistan.
The Emirati humanitarian agency’s operation in Afghanistan is in response to directives from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and is being followed up by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Foundation.
An official source at the Foundation said the relief aid was distributed to some 4000 affected families in Feyzabad, the provincial capital of Badakhshan, and other areas on Friday and Saturday.
Yousuf Said Al Ali, Ambassador of the UAE to Kabul, said the relief aid was distributed in coordination and cooperation with local provincial authorities .
