Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Health discuses medical cooperation with Ambassador of Thailand

DUBAI, 18th February, 2015 (WAM) — Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Health, today discussed with Warawudh Chuwiruch, Ambassador of Thailand to the UAE, ways to strengthen medical cooperation with Thailand, which is one of the most important destinations for citizens of UAE for medical treatment abroad.

During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Health headquarters in Abu Dhabi, both parties discussed finding a distinct new therapeutic health institutions in Thailand to send patients from UAE to receive the necessary diagnosis and treatment.

The two sides also discussed a number of topics that support the healthy development of the country and treatment of patients, recruiting doctors and specialists to conduct operations at hospitals affiliated to the Ministry and to raise the efficiency of technicians to find training and education in the health field opportunities in Thailand.

Both parties discussed the possibility of cooperation in the field of the Ministry of Health institutions managed by specialists from Thailand.

Warawudh Chuwiruch noted that there are many medical universities in Thailand which offer studies that support the health system in contributing to the promotion of innovative procedures and methods of treatment The meeting was attended by Dr. Essa Al Mansouri, Director of the Under-Secretary’s Office and Director of International Health Relations Department.
