Zubair Stud achieves success in Menton

SHARJAH: Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ali Al Thani, Chairman of Air Arabia, on Tuesday attended the Arabian and Arab Countries Arabian Horse Championship, at Menton in France.

The championship, which celebrates the beauty of the Arabian horse, attracted entries from more than 30 countries, including the U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Belgium, Germany, Britain and France, as well as stallions from the most prestigious stables in the world.

During the competition, Sheikh Abdullah’s horse, Najdah Al Zubair, won three titles, including World Horse , Most Beautiful Head and Most Beautiful Horse .

Sheikh Abdullah expressed his delight for the wins and said that the Zubair Stud has found similar success in the past at the Scottsdale and Las Vegas Championships.

He added that Zubair is a source of pride for all of the U.A.E. as all the horses there are locally bred and that the triple victory demonstrates that the Zubair Stud is one of the strongest in terms of domestic production in the world.
