UAE Pro League completes preparations for World Leagues Forum

ABU DHABI, The UAE Pro League has completed preparations for hosting the annual meeting of the World Leagues Forum (WLF), taking place in Dubai on 18th and 19th of October. Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi signs partnership agreement with Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals

Abu Dhabi, Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has signed a partnership agreement with the US-based Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals (ICCP), under which the Statistical Training Institute of SCAD would provide certification programs for professionals in Abu Dhabi government entities. The agreement was signed by Ahmed Mahmoud Fikri, Director General of SCAD, and Dr Bradley Jensen, President of ICCP, on the sidelines of GITEX Global 2022, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The education and certification programs designed by the ICCP will be implemented by the STI to build data and statistical capabilities for government IT professionals. The training programs are part of SCAD’s strategy to develop an integrated statistical ecosystem in Abu Dhabi that can support decision-makers with insightful and real-time statistics. Emirates A380 debuts in Bengaluru

Dubai, UAE Emirates’ flagship A380 made a landmark touchdown at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport, marking the first commercial flight to the South Indian city’s airport of the world’s largest passenger aircraft.   The special service from Dubai to Bengaluru, operating as EK562 and greeted with a procession of follow-me vehicles, arrived ahead of the launch of scheduled A380 services which will commence on 30 October.   Emirates flight EK562 took off yesterday from Dubai International Airport at 10:00 am and landed in Bengaluru at 15:40 pm local time, and was welcomed by Kempegowda International Airport, in the presence of aviation fans, media and special guests representing the aviation and travel industries and diplomatic missions, amongst others.   At the welcome reception in Bengaluru, the flight carrying 224 passengers was greeted by S.T. OAPEC’s Head Praises the Decision to Reduce OPEC Oil Production

Baghdad, The Secretary-General of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) Ali bin Sabt praised today, Saturday, the decision of the OPEC + group to reduce oil production, and considered it correct and timely.   He said in a press statement that the decision took into account the uncertainty surrounding the performance of the global economy, as its growth rate is expected to decrease by about 3% during the year 2023.   He added that the decision came in line with the successful approach taken by the OPEC + group in taking proactive steps that would avoid any imbalances in the oil market, especially supply and demand.   OAPEC includes Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia and the UAE.   The OPEC + alliance, which includes the thirteen members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, as well as producers outside the organization,
