DEWA launches World Energy Day 2022 campaign

DUBAI, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has launched its annual campaign to promote the World Energy Day, which is observed on 22nd October each year, under the theme “Green Energy is My Choice”. This comes as part of DEWA’s ongoing efforts to involve customers and society members in achieving sustainable development and promoting energy efficiency His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, adopted the initiative along with 54 countries, representatives from the United Nations, the Arab League, and the African Union, during the World Energy Forum 2012 in Dubai. World Energy Day focuses on the importance of energy conservation, reducing carbon footprint, using clean and renewable energy, and supporting green economy. ENOC Group opens new marine service station in Al Hamriya Port

DUBAI, ENOC Group today announced the opening of a new marine service station in Al Hamriya Port, Dubai, making it the 8th marine service station in the Emirate. Al Hamriya port is a cargo gateway to Dubai. The port is well known for its flexibility, being able to berth different kinds of vessels from traditional dhows to a variety of ships. The new marine station will also serve the fuelling requirements of fisherman boats, government boats such as Dubai Customs and Dubai Police, adding to their convenience and ease of access to fuel. OIL PRICES RISE AS DECLINE IN US STOCKS EASE DEMAND CONCERNS

Oil prices climbed Wednesday on the back of an estimated decline in US crude stocks, indicating a rebound in demand in the country.   International benchmark Brent crude traded at $90.16 per barrel at 09.06 a.m. local time (0606 GMT) for a 0.14% gain from the closing price of $90.03 a barrel in the previous trading session.   American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was at $82.63 per barrel at the same time for a 0.68% gain after the previous session closed at $82.07 a barrel.   The American Petroleum Institute (API) announced late Tuesday its forecast of a fall in US crude oil inventories of 1.3 million barrels, exceeding market expectations of a 1.55 million-barrel increase.   The forecast of such a large inventory draw indicates a recovery in crude demand in the US, easing investor concerns about dwindling demand and supporting higher prices.   The US Energy Information
