3.7 Quake Shakes Algeria’s Tebessa

The Centre for Research in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Geophysics (CRAAG) reported that a seismic tremor measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale occurred in the Tebessa province east of Algeria on Wednesday without recording casualties or material damage.

The earthquakes epicenter was pinpointed at a depth of 29 kilometers northwest of the Boukhadra municipality, according to the CRAAG statement.

5.6-Magnitude Quake Hits Northwest China

A 5.6-magnitude earthquake jolted Baicheng County in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Wednesday evening, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 41.98 degrees north latitude and 82.56 degrees east longitude with a depth of 16 km, said a report issued by the CENC.

The last earthquake in China was on March 5 measuring 5.5 magnitude on the Richter scale which jolted Zadoi County in northwest China’s Qinghai Province.
