4.5-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Southern Turkiye

An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale occurred today in the state of Adana, in southern Turkiye, there were no reports of damage from this earthquake.

The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD) stated that the tremor occurred at a depth of about 7 kilometers.

A violent 7.7-magnitude earthquake jolted southern Turkiye and northern Syria on Feb. 6, followed by a 7.6-magnitude quake and thousands of violent aftershocks, which resulted in tens of thousands of victims, and caused massive damage and destruction to buildings and property in the two countries.
