A Brigade Commander In The PMF Tells The Details Of The Terrorist Attack On The Iraqi-Syrian Border

BAGHDAD, Iraq – The commander of the first brigade in the popular mobilization forces, Mahdi Saleh, described the details of the violent terrorist attack carried out by the Daesh organization on the Iraqi-Syrian border, pointing out that the attack was aimed at breaking the defensive line of the border strip from Sinjar To the area of Tel Safok.

Saleh said in a statement to the website of “popular mobilization” that “The forces of the First Brigade responded to this attack, which the terrorists made use of the weather conditions and low temperatures, where their movement monitored and our forces responded in a process that lasted more than four hours, killing and wounding a number of them and others fled. “

Saleh said that the attack consisted of seven cars carrying armed men, most of whom were taken out of these vehicles carrying heavy weapons in order to break the defensive line of the border fence from Sinjar to the area of Tel Safok.

Saleh pointed out that “the border is still not well held by the Syrian side,” noting that “terrorists deployed mortar squads and targeted the forces stationed on the border fence several shells and exploited some low areas of the embankment to damage the vehicles of the popular mobilization passing there.
