Abdul Mahdi says the government attaches importance to overcoming bureaucracy in providing services and fighting corruption

Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi stressed that the government attaches importance to overcoming the bureaucracy in providing services and fighting corruption.

“The government attaches importance to overcoming the bureaucracy which was the reason for disrupting the provision of services and fighting corruption, and continuous follow-up is necessary to seize the fruits of the right plans so that the citizens feel the results,” Abdul Mahdi said during a meeting with Dr. Abdul Hadi al-Hakim.

He added: “We are reaping the fruits of our policy in turning the obstacles into opportunities, through drawing up accurate plans and following up on their implementation until the results are achieved, for example, to the process of managing the file to prevent the danger of floods, which was carried out with high precision and confident steps contributed to saving lives and property to the extent a large addition to the storage of huge quantities of water for the future, as well as in the receipt of wheat crop and collection in the storage yards prepared from the concrete blocks that were closing the streets and hinder the movement of citizens and separate the areas of the capital Baghdad.

The statement said that the meeting discussed the results of the important foreign visits made by the Prime Minister, the latest to Germany and France, and the signing of strategic and service agreements and partnerships, including a road map agreement to improve the reality of electricity, as well as discuss the plans and steps implemented by the government against corruption, to combat corruption, in addition to providing basic services to citizens according to their priorities.
