Accreditation of confessions of an accused of possessing 37 artifacts from the Babylonian era

BAGHDAD, The Central Investigation Court has confirmed the confessions of a defendant seized in his possession 37 artifacts dating back to the Babylonian era.

“An investigating judge in the Central Court of Investigation registered the confessions of a drug dealer found on his mobile phone pictures of antiquities and after investigation he admitted that the pieces were for sale and did not belong to him,” the statement said.

He added that “the accused who possesses the artifacts, which are a variety of cylindrical statues and seals dating back to the Babylonian era,” pointing out that “the confessions of the accused were certified and transmitted to the competent court.”
