AFC President in Abu Dhabi to attend FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2017 tomorrow

ABU DHABI, AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), arrived in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday to attend the grand opening of the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2017 on Wednesday, 6 December, at Al Ain’s Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.

Marwan bin Ghalita, President of UAE Football Association, Aref Hamed Al Awani, Secretary General of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and a number top officials at the association welcomed the AFC president upon arrival.

All eyes will be on Abu Dhabi and Al Ain as millions of football fans around the world will be following the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2017. As the host nation ramps up preparations for the 14th edition of the event, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) is looking forward to welcoming some of the most beloved heroes of the game as they vie for the most sought-after title in club football.

In the next ten days the UAE capital will welcome some of the world’s most talented football players as they take to the pitch to play eight pivotal matches.
