Al-Hakim praises the role of the tribes and holds them responsible for spreading tolerance and countering radical thought

Baghdad Head of the National Alliance Ammar al-Hakim praised the role of the Iraqi tribes, and warned against prejudice them.

Al-Hakim held, during a meeting with a group of elders and dignitaries of the Anza tribe today, the Iraqi tribes, the responsibility of spreading harmony and tolerance and countering radical thought, saying that Daesh ended up the militarily, but it is present in its thoughts and sleeping cells, considering sectarianism in Iraq as “political sectarianism that does not exist in the community.”

Ammar al-Hakim called on the Iraqi society to speak out and reject the postponement of the elections, stressing that “the military, political and societal victory needs to be consolidated with a fourth victory, the victory of service and the building of the state.
