Anti-Terrorism Meeting Start In Tehran

BAGHDAD, The second anti-terrorism meeting of the heads of parliament of Russia, China, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Turkey was held in the Iranian capital Tehran this morning.

“The president of the Islamic Consultative Council, Ali Larijani received his counterparts from China, Russia, Pakistan, Turkey and Afghanistan, and discussed with them the situation in the region.” Iranian media said.

“The behavior of the Americans has caused international chaos and has led to the departure of governments and peoples from the United States,” Larijani said.

Iranian President Hassan Rohani will deliver a speech at the opening session of the conference after the speech of the Speaker, Ali Larijani, and the presidents of the parliaments of Pakistan, China, Turkey, Russia and Afghanistan will address the conference.

While the participating delegations stressed that the recent US decisions have left a negative impact on the establishment of peace in the region.

The six-day meeting, entitled “Challenges to Counter Terrorism and Strengthening Regional Relations,” will address counterterrorism, terrorism and terrorist threats in the region.

The speaker of the Pakistani parliament will preside over the first session of the meeting, and the chairman of the Islamic Consultative Council, Ali Larijani, is scheduled to take over the chairmanship of the second conference.

The heads of parliaments of the six countries met last year in Islamabad, where they decided to increase regional cooperation to combat terrorism. “
