Basra Criminal Court issues a death sentence for an accused who raped and killed a child

The Basra Criminal Court, the First Commission, issued a death sentence by hanging to death against a defendant who raped a 7-year-old girl, then killed her by suffocation with both hands, placed her in a garbage bag, and threw her corpse in the garbage container in her area.

The ruling was issued based on the provisions of Article 406/1/a and c of Penal Code No. 111 of 1969, as amended, after the confession of the accused during the preliminary and judicial investigation and trial.
