Central Council of Muslims in Germany praises Pope’s visit to UAE

BERLIN, The Chairman of the Central Council of Muslims in Germany, Ayman Mazyek, has hailed the visit of Pope Francis, head of Catholic Church, to the UAE, as historic and unprecedented.

Speaking to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, Mazyek expressed his happiness about the experience he will gain during the Pope’s visit to the UAE.

He said, ”I wish to benefit from the UAE’s experience in this regard.”

He added that the Central Council of Muslims in Germany is looking forward to establishing a sound basis for interfaith dialogue, not only in Germany, but all over Europe.

“The Pope’s visit is a result of colossal efforts made by the UAE to strengthen interfaith dialogue,” he stressed.
