Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain attends Mohamed bin Zayed Arabian Camel Racing Festival

UMM AL QAIWAIN, H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain, attended on Sunday the evening race of the 6th Mohamed bin Zayed Arabian Camel Racing Festival 2017 which was staged at Al Labsa Racetrack.

The five-day heritage sports event is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, will hold 125 rounds.

The 4km race was also watched by a number of Sheikhs, guests from the GCC countries, breeders and a crowd of fans.

The annual festival was first launched in 2012 in the emirate of Ras al Khaimah. The emirates of Umm Al Qaiwain, Sharjah and Ras al Khaimah then hosted the event in 2013, 2014 and 2015 respectively.

Since it was launched, the festival has been witnessing tough competitions between camel owners from the UAE and GCC countries.
