DED thanks Dubai CP for ‘Dubai Competitiveness Office’ mandate

DUBAI: The Director General of Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) Sami Al Qamzi today expressed gratitude to H. H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council for trusting the Department with leading the Dubai Competitiveness Office. The setting up of Dubai Competitiveness Office’ was set up earlier today by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid.

“The Department of Economic Development expresses its gratitude to H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoom, Crown Prince of Dubai, for trusting us to lead the Dubai Competitiveness Office. The new office is a perfect fit with DED’s mandate to achieve and promote sustainable economic development in Dubai,” Al Qamzi stated.

“Competitiveness is the chief indicator of productivity, prosperity and long term growth prospects. It is therefore critical for governments and economies aiming for faster and reliable growth to adopt competitive policies and practices,” he further said.
Al-Qamzi stressed that “the Dubai Competitiveness Office will consolidate all efforts towards strengthening Dubai’s capabilities in facilitating economic activity and growth.” “It will also enhance Dubai’s global position and complement the UAE’s efforts to make a mark in the competitiveness landscape,” he added.
