Head of the Arab Department, Osama Mahdi, discussed with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine, Ahmed Akl, bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them in a way that serves the two peoples.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, “the head of the Arab Department, Osama Mahdi Ghanem, met with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine, Ahmed Akl, today, Sunday, in the Ministry building.”
The statement added, “During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in a way that serves the two peoples. The two sides discussed the ongoing preparations in preparation for holding the meetings of the joint Iraqi-Palestinian committee, scheduled to be held in Baghdad during the period 1-2/10/2023.”
The head of the Arab Department confirmed the Ministry’s readiness to provide all forms of support to make these meetings successful.
For his part, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine expressed his appreciation to the Republic of Iraq, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the efforts made to support Palestine in all international forums.
