DoF- Abu Dhabi signs MoU with DoF- Ajman

ABU DHABI: The Department of Finance – Abu Dhabi (DoF- Abu Dhabi) has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Finance – Ajman to enhance mutual cooperation and strengthen strategic partnership between the two parties.

This is being considered as a sign of DoF- Abu Dhabi reaffirming its commitment to help achieve the Government’ goals and aspirations, including the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and the directives of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Abdulla Ali Musleh Al Ahbabi, Acting Undersecretary of DoF- Abu Dhabi and Walid Khalil Al Hashimi, Director General of DoF- Ajman, signed the MoU in the presence of a number of executives and department directors from both entities at DoF – Abu Dhabi’s Headquarters.

The MoU stipulates the need to create coordination mechanisms in order to share DoF- Abu Dhabi’s expertise and experiences with DoF- Ajman, to promote a culture of excellence between both parties by identifying best practices and experiences, in addition to cooperating on the preparations of joint events and activities. Moreover, the agreement fosters the strategic partnership and will look to develop the internal working environments to further stimulate creativity and excellence.

Abdulla Ali Musleh Al Ahbabi said,”DoF- Abu Dhabi has come a long way in adopting the best practices at the level of government financial work and has built a distinctive niche for itself on a regional and global level. DoF has realised that it is no longer possible for any private or government entity to successfully operate without the presence of an active partnership with strategic partners; it is vital that we work closely together in order to achieve our common goals and aspirations. This belief has pushed us to maintain, expand and develop our network with a number of partners as well as to create new channels of cooperation to promote professional experiences, develop the working environment and in turn, raise the quality of financial services being offered to the public.” For his part, Walid Khalil Al Hashimi said, “DoF- Ajman is confident of the amount of knowledge it will gain from DoF- Abu Dhabi’s thanks to the reputation is has built of being a world-class working environment. We look forward to building a strong strategic partnership to gain expertise in strategic planning with a specific focus on IT-based financial solutions, such as the ADERP System DoF- Abu Dhabi developed, and which represents an important milestone for it and the Abu Dhabi Government.” WAM/AAMIR
