Dubai Truck Market project to complete this year

DUBAI: The General Projects Department of Dubai Municipality has begun implementation of the final stage of the Dubai Truck and Used Spare Parts Market after completing the road and related civil works, 70% of the whole project. Khalifa Hareb, Director of Assets Management Department, said, “The project, located in Al Ruwayyah 3 area, is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2014. The market includes 148 specialist showrooms and a sophisticated building for services that will accommodate all types of businesses for companies and institutions working within the scope of the market, as well as its visitors.

“The buildings will have basic facilities for tenants and visitors such as public washrooms, waste collection, security rooms, covered parking etc. The main building will provide different government services related to the sector. The market will provide a unique service for the business of trucks and spare parts.” Hareb said.

“The project is aimed at contributing to the strengthening of economic movement and saving time and effort of traders and consumers as well as to provide a new service for the community and companies in a distinguished way, reflecting the vision of Dubai Municipality in creating an excellent city that provides an essence of success and the comfort of sustainable living,” he said.

“The project is considered one of the prominent specialised markets implemented by the municipality in the Emirate of Dubai considering the number of companies, institutions and individuals who specialise in the trade of new and used heavy vehicles and equipment,” he added.
