Egypt, UAE mull cooperation in manufacturing pick-up vehicles

Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah el Din discussed on Sunday with board chairman of UAE M Glory Holding Company Majida Alazazi cooperation in manufacturing bi-fuel pick up cars.

The move comes in line with the government’s efforts to convert to green energy, enhance the auto industry, and attract new investments to the country.

The minister reiterated the ministry’s keenness on fostering cooperation with Arab brothers in different manufacturing domains in a bid to localize modern technology.

Alazazi underlined the importance of putting into effect the cooperation agreement ahead of COP27 conference to take place in Sharm el Sheikh in November.

Under the agreement, bi-fuel pickup vehicles will be manufactured under the name “EM” with an estimated production capacity of 12,000 cars per year.
