Egypt’s engineering industry exports increased by about 31% to register dlrs 1.551 billion in the first five months of 2022, compared to dlrs 1.185 billion during the same period last year, according to the monthly report of the Engineering Export Council of Egypt (EECE).
The engineering industries exports increased by 25% in May 2022, reaching dlrs 264.7 million, compared to dlrs 211.7 million in May 2021, added the report.
Regarding the most important sectors whose exports increased during the first five months of 2022, the report revealed that exports of electrical appliances increased by 52%, cables achieved 81% growth rate, car components recorded 6.1% increase, and household appliances increased 14%.
The UK, Slovakia, France, German, Spain, the Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan and Lebanon topped the list of countries that increased imports of Egypt’s engineering industries.
In addition to, African countries namely Algeria, Morocco, and Libya.
