Emirati ambassador meets Tunisian education minister for Arab Reading Challenge TUNIS, 10th October, 2015 (WAM) — Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Tunisia, Salim Eisa Al Qatami, and a delegation from the “Arab Reading Challenge”, the largest Arab project to encourage students in the Arab world to read, have met with Tunisian Minister of Education, Neji Jelloul.
The Tunisian minister welcomed the implementation of the project in Tunisia and noted that his ministry is ready to cooperate and coordinate with the project and harness all its capabilities to make Tunisia’s contribution positive and outstanding.
During the meeting, the delegation led by Secretary General of the project, Najla Al Shamsi, gave a presentation about the goals of the initiative launched last month by Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to encourage more than a million students to read 50 million extracurricular books during every academic year.
For his part, Ambassador Al Qatati thanked the Tunisian minister for showing his support to the project which furthers cooperation and relations relations between the two countries.
