Expanded meeting discusses environmental factors affecting small enterprises sector

The Public Authority for Small and Micro Enterprise Development held on Wednesday an expanded meeting to assess environmental factors affecting the small and micro enterprise sector.

The meeting, which included 27 representatives from the government and private sectors and civil society organizations, reviewed the report of the technical advisory team assigned by the Authority on assessing the current situation of the small and micro enterprises sector.

The report included an evaluation of the internal and external factors affecting the projects sector, the available opportunities and potential threats, the available strengths and the current weaknesses.

At the meeting, Ahmed Al-Kibsi, head of the Public Authority for the Development of Small and Micro Enterprises, stressed the importance of working to complete the national strategy for the development of small and micro enterprises, as it has a positive impact on the economic aspect of many citizens.

He affirmed that the Authority is keen to enable participating entities to contribute to the preparation of the strategy in accordance with the latest scientific practices.
