Felt by the people of Khanaqin and Kalar .. an earthquake shocked western Iran

BAGHDAD, An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale shook the region of Srebil Zahab in western Iran on Sunday morning.

“The time of the quake was at 6, 24, 11 and dawn, 25 km east of the city of Khanaqin,” said a statement by the Seismological Monitoring Service.

“The people of Khanaqin and Kalar felt strong in the quake without any information about casualties or material damage,” he said.

A tremor measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale hit the outskirts of the city of Sarbil Zahab in Kermanshah province, west of Iran, on the 25th of last month and affected the population of the capital Baghdad and most of the cities of the country in addition to the extension of its influence to the State of Kuwait.
