Floods close main roads southeast and north of Mosul

MOSUL, Heavy rain and torrential floods have blocked major roads southeast and north of Mosul.

A source in the Civil Defense told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the roads linking Mosul with Erbil, Kirkuk and Dahuk, were closed again by the heavy rains and floods that swept through Mosul and the roads mentioned since yesterday night.”

He added that the floods closed the roads of these areas and prevented the passage of small vehicles and trucks in them.”

He said that it is hoped to reopen these roads in the next few days after repairing the damage.”
