Foreign Ministers of GCC and Australia hold talks in New York

New York: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Foreign Minister of UAE along with the GCC counterparts yesterday held talks session with the Australian Foreign Minister Senator Bob Carr as part of the second strategic dialogue between the two sides.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah, Saudi Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdulatif Al-Zayani led the GCC side during the meeting.

The meeting discussed key developments related to security in the region, especially the situation in Syria and Yemen in addition to peace process in the Middle East.

The two sides also welcomed boosting and developing relations between Australia and the GCC in political, defense, security, trade, education and tourism sectors along with enhancing people to people contact.
