Four teams qualify for Battle of Communities finals at 2023 Gov Games

DUBAI, 4th March, 2023 (WAM) — The Organising Committee of Gov Games 2023 announced that four community teams that participated in the preliminary round yesterday have qualified for the finals of the Battle of Communities. Category, and they are: NAS, Empire x Grow, Spirit Level and Parkour DXB.

Organised in partnership with official partner DP World and in cooperation with Dubai Sports Council, day 3 of Gov Games 2023 saw teams participated in the Battle of Government heats push themselves to their limits in a series of challenges designed to test their physical and mental strength, teamwork, and ability to perform under pressure.

total of 27 teams participated in the Battle of Government all-female category presenting a true test of will, physical strength, and mental focus.

Four teams will qualify to the final round of the category.

In men’s competitions, 28 teams took part in the Battle of the Governments qualifying round where four teams out of total 82 will qualify to the final round.

The competitiveness displayed by all teams highlighted the importance of the Gov Games as one of Dubai’s most significant annual sporting events, attracting participants from all over the world.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), expressed his thanks and gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, for his continuous support of sports in Dubai.

l Tayer emphasised that the ‘Gov Games’ tournament encourages positive competition among participating teams and consolidates teamwork among government employees.
