GCAA Proposes Arab – Latin America Air Transport Summit

Dubai: The Arab Civil Aviation Commission, represented the General Civil Aviation Authority at the 20th Ordinary Assembly of the Latin American Civil Aviation Commission (LACAC), Brasilia, Brazil.

The GCAA Director General Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, who is also the President of the Arab Civil Aviation Commission, inaugurated LACAC Assembly stressing the friendship and cooperation ties between the Arab and Latin American States, as well as common interests and challenges shared by both regions.

He highlighted the contributions of the UAE civil aviation sector by offering training courses to Latin American Civil Aviation Authorities and by celebrating air services agreements that enabled the introduction of new services connecting Latin America with the Arab world.

Al Suwaidi also participated at a panel on air transport integration and launched an initiative to organize a high level Arab-Latin American civil aviation conference to review the current air transport developments between both regions and ways to enhance it.
