Harb : Iraq did not demand compensation decided by the UN Security Council for striking its nuclear reactor

Legal expert Tariq Harb said that Iraq did not demand the compensation decided by the UN Security Council under a resolution under Chapter VII of the UN Charter.

“UN Security Council resolution 487 of 19/6/1981 granted Iraq compensation for the destruction of the nuclear reactor,” Harb said. Iraq has not demanded compensation decided by the UN Security Council resolution under Chapter VII of the UN Charter, despite the fact that more than 38 years have elapsed and now is an occasion to demand the UN Security Council’s compensation and those affected by the new fires by Israel.

“If the Prime Minister’s committee to investigate Al-Saqr blasts supports that Israel is behind the blasts, as some News Agencies have said. We do not know whether our government will take the measures taken by Baghdad’s new allies, Egypt and Jordan, who had a meeting in Baghdad a week ago to obtain compensation from Israel, or what was /38/ years ago will continue as it is.
