Interior Minister, Iranian Defense Minister Discuss Forming A Joint Coordinating Committee to Follow Up Issues Of Mutual Interest

Baghdad Interior Minister Yassin al-Yasiri discussed with the Iranian defense minister the formation of a joint coordinating committee to follow up issues of mutual interest between the two ministries.

On the sidelines of his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, which resulted in the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two ministries of interior on the Arbaen Visit, the Interior Minister on Sunday inspected the Iranian Military Industries Exhibition and toured the exhibition halls, briefing the military industries and security technology.

The concerned of the exhibition, briefed the most prominent military and security production which can be utilized in the joints of security work, information technology, communications, border work and other security and military formations.

The statement added that Al-Yasiri continued his visit in Tehran by visiting the Ministry of Defense and was received by the Iranian Minister of Defense and senior leaders in the ministry. The two sides discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.

The two ministers discussed the depth of the relationship between the two neighboring countries and the importance of coordinating security efforts between them.

During the meeting, they discussed the formation of a joint coordinating committee to follow up issues of mutual interest between the Iraqi Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Defense in Iran.

In his speech, Al-Yasiri stressed that he is keen to develop intelligence and information work in the ministry and can benefit from all experiences and contribute to the continuity of the development of security work to enhance security and stability.
