Iraq Welcomes The Sudanese Political Forces’ Agreement To Choose A New Prime Minister

Baghdad Iraq welcomed the agreement of the Sudanese forces to choose a new prime minister.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed al-Sahaf said in a statement “We welcome the agreement of the Sudanese forces to choose a new prime minister, ” added This is an important milestone in transition to a democratic political stage that represents the aspirations of the people. It is also a new historic moment with positive repercussions for the country’s interest.

He added, “We extend our congratulations to all the Sudanese people, and the new Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdouk on this occasion, and we reaffirm our respect for this option, and our support for all political tracks that have the agreement and acceptance of all forces that lead to state-building, economic advancement, and service delivery.

We express our full confidence in the ability of the Sudanese people to make rapid and steady progress towards building a democratic process that reflects their aspirations for security, stability, a dignified life and development.
