Iraqi Foreign Minister receives Bahraini Ambassador

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Mohammed Al-Hakim, received in his office at the Ministry, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Baghdad, Salah Ali Al-Malki.

The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, to Dr. Mohammed Al-Hakim and his affirmation of the strong brotherly relations between the two countries.

The Ambassador highlighted the development of bilateral relations in all fields.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq reiterated that his country rejects and condemns the assault on the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Baghdad. He also affirmed the keenness of the of the Iraqi government to guarantee the safety and security of diplomatic missions in its territories.

He expressed pride in the brotherly relations between the two countries, and reviewed ways to further develop them in all levels to achieve the aspirations of both countries and people.

He also welcomed the Ambassador’s resumption of his diplomatic duties in the Republic of Iraq.
