Kalimat concludes its participation in Paris International Book Fair

SHARJAH: Kalimat, the Sharjah based publishing house dedicated to publishing high quality Arabic children’s books, today concludes its participation in the 34th Paris International Book Fair. The Paris International Book Fair is one of the premier events in Europe for book industry professionals and this year’s edition attracted 1200 publishers from 37 countries. The four-day event, which concludes today, offered a stellar programme that made it a highlight of the cultural calendar.

Speaking on the occasion, Tamer Said, Business Development Manager at Kalimat Group, said, “The Paris International Book Fair is one of the top cultural events in Europe and the entire world, and is an ideal platform for us to stay abreast with the latest developments in the publishing industry, particularly those related to children’s books and to present our publications to senior publishing professionals and discuss the possibility of translating these titles into other languages. We are also looking forward to collaborating with a number of distinguished illustrators to have them add their artistic touches to Kalimat’s books and share with them the latest techniques in children’s book illustration.

“Kalimat produces high quality books in terms of text, illustration, design, and production that children can connect with on an emotional level and that challenge them to expand their knowledge and learn about their surroundings, while attracting them to the world of reading, thus making books and reading an essential part of their lives,” he concluded.
