Khazali Emphasizes The Need To Limit The Weapons In The Hands Of The State

Najaf, The Secretary-General of the Movement of Asaib Ahl al-Haq, Qais al-Khazali called on the commander-in-chief of the armed forces Haider al-Abadi to fix the rights of the Mujahedeen of the popular mobilization forces, pointing out “it is not fair to be treated as contractors” confirming “we are with the limit the weapons in the hands of the state”

“We were not, from the very beginning, callers of war, but we carried our weapons in defense of our country,” Khazali said in a speech during the victory ceremony for the Islamic resistance groups held in Najaf on the occasion of the victory.

“We are with the limiting weapons to the security forces and maintaining security and we will lay down arms when the threat disappears,” Khazali said.

“We are with the application of the law of the popular mobilization and disengagement between political and military frameworks and we are with associate the popular mobilization forces with the commander-in-chief of the troops and be a military device.”

He called on the commander-in-chief of the armed forces to “establish the rights of the Mujahedeen of the popular mobilization,” noting that “they must be faired and not it is not fair to be treated as contractors and the government should start to legalize their rights.”
